Velocipede

This early method of arm pump, short run, single person, rapid rail transit was also energy efficient. It was used by the track workers to get to points between stations, or from one station to another.

Speeders

The museum owns a variety of speeders including open and closed types. Speeders are still used today by railroads for track safety and maintenance. The musem also offers speeder rides on special occasions.

Tie Crane

The two tie cranes were originally designed for bridge work. The crane lowered timbers over the side of the bridge, after being clamped to the rails.
