The Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum holds the largest collection of rail artifacts in Western Canada. The eight-acre site houses over fifty pieces of rolling stock (rail cars) and locomotives. Most of our collection include pieces used in rail lines that passed through or are connected to Central BC, including Grand Trunk Pacific Railway, Canadian National Railway, Pacific Great Eastern Railway and BC Rail.

Additionally, Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum houses several pieces of forestry equipment that reflect the unique history the forest industry has in Central BC, from harvesting, manufacturing and distribution of wood products, to reforestation.

With the support of the Argus program, hosted by The Exploration Place, the Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum is able to provide public access to information related to much of the collection and archival holdings.
