Highway 16 West
(McBride, Jasper)
Cross the Fraser River Bridge and take the off ramp to River Road, drive for 1.3 kilometers. Our Free parking lot is on your right.
Highway 97 South
(Quesnel, Williams Lake)
At the intersection of Highway 97 and Highway 16 take the right-hand turn lane and proceed for 1.47 kilometers and turn left at the lights onto Highway 16. Keep straight for 1.7 kilometers and then turn right onto 1st Avenue (Highway 16). Drive for 1.4 Kilometers and then turn left (crossing the road) onto River Road. Drive for 1.3 kilometers, our Free parking lot is on your right.
Highway 16 East
(Prince Rupert, Vanderhoof)
At the intersection of Highway 97 and Highway 16 stay straight and proceed for 1.47 kilometers and turn left at the lights onto Highway 16. Keep straight for 1.7 kilometers and then turn right onto 1st Avenue (Highway 16). Drive for 1.4 Kilometers and then turn left (crossing the road) onto River Road. Drive for 1.3 kilometers, our Free parking lot is on your right.
Highway 97 North
(Mackenzie, Dawson Creek)
At the intersection of Highway 97 and 5th Avenue use the left-hand turn lane to turn onto 5th Avenue. Drive straight for 0.8 kilometers and turn left onto Carney Street. Keep straight onto River Road, drive for 2.85 kilometers, you will find our Free Parking lot on your left.
*Please note – the Central BC Railway & Forestry Museum is not accessible by bus.
ACCESSIBILITY
- The Gallery and Gift Shop are fully accessible, as is the museum park. Unfortunately, the train cars are not accessible for wheelchairs, they are 2 feet wide, in some passages.
- We have a wheelchair that can be borrowed free of charge.
- There are two Sensory Packs that can be borrowed free of charge.
- The grass on the museum grounds can be uneven in places.
